Here are the photos of the damage to Shree Prabhat school’s two sites in Dhawa – where 600 children would have been having lessons had it not been a Saturday.
3,552 schools were destroyed or rendered unusable like this, in the 14 severely affected districts. The difference between the retrofitted main Shree Prabhat site, and the second site above – constructed just before we arrived in Dhawa, is quite shocking. Nothing remains of the top school’s 6 classrooms but a pile of crumpled tin and rubble.
